I don't get not having at least the corners in there. It's not like we are scoring a bunch. Could have cut down the run.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Wow, just digested that Thames has 29 home runs and 55 RBIs. What is the record for fewest RBIs in a 30 home run season? This has to be close, yes?

Looks like record was just last year, and done by two guys. Both Jed Gyorko and Curtis Granderson had 30 HR and 59 RBi

Which makes his OPS such an overrated joke of an argument. Who cares that his slugging percentage is so high when his 29 home runs are almost all solo shots?

Well, it is more than just home runs that lead to slugging.

Thames has had 114 PA's with runners in scoring position. He's hitting .146 with 2 HR and 16 RBI with RISP. That's dreadful.
There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early
