Kudos to ump for not calling that outside strike that Hendricks thinks he's entitled to. Hate Hendricks so much.

Just curious...why Hendricks? He doesn't seem to me to be nearly as annoying as Lackey and Arrieta. Not asking for justification just interested in why different guys rub different people the wrong way.

Haha I don't understand it myself. His success despite obvious lack of talent annoys me even though it should be commendable. His scientist look and demeanor annoy me too.

Santana, who has a .972 OPS in day games, sits. Perez, who has a .610 OPS in day games, starts.

I'm getting really sick of Counsell not using data to make decisions.

It's a sunday too

And he's 24!! Why the hell does he need a day off? He gets way too damn many. So frustrating the players these days. And I'm not even old. Play. You're in a flipping pennant race.

We're in George Kottaras territory with Vogt's noodle arm

I haven't caught in about 5 years and I would challenge Vogt tomorrow at a throwing competition. Wow, sad stuff.

Damn. Only a perfect throw gets him.

And Arcia closing his eyes so he couldn't avoid the glove.

Thames' RBI count is not great. That's a good example. He's got a guy at second with one out and can't come through. Situations like that cause his weird stat line.

I suppose he has a decent OBP but I'm not a big fan. I'd be curious to see what Aguilar could do with more ABs

Eric Thames stat for the day: With RISP: .208 BABIP and a .604 OPS.

With a guy just on 1B: .326 BABIP with a 1.199 OPS

It's truly baffling.

You can tell he's a head case. Presses when he knows RISP.

Okay, first off heck yes Shaw.

And mad props by Perez to bust his behind and beat that out.

And then.... back to my normal feeling on him.

As much as I don't want to open this can of worms again but as much as BA misses during the season I hope the Brewers/FSN Wisconsin just move on and find a quality guy to just take his spot. That way we don't have to listen to these other bums like Craig, Auggie and Nelson.
