Now the supposed Red killer Thames strikes out swinging with a roar from the crowd (I guess you can call it a crowd). Yesterday had only 12,000 plus for attendance. I thought Tampa fans were the only ones who didn't care.

They were just excited about getting free pizza for that K.

Garza might be bad but that doesn't mean CC was wrong when he said he had bad luck today.

He is when he uses it to answer "no" to the question "Was it a mistake to pitch Garza today?".

He also said he pitched fine. I wish I had DVRed the interview so I had the exact quote, but he basically absolved Garza of any blame.

Because most managers would have answered with, "He flat out sucked and I screwed up by starting him today."
I wouldn't expect him to say that, but he could at least give a non answer like "He's been struggling lately, he just needs time to figure it out" like any other manager would do.

The Brewers, 0.5 games out of the Wild Card, just drew sub 18k last Thursday.

So, yeah. We don't really care either.

You could start by not being condescending and telling me to grow up, when all I was doing is clearly expressing an opinion in a certain way that the excuses for Garza get tiresome. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it's not valid. I don't know why it's up to you to decide whether saying 'Garza sucks' or what I did is the correct way to express it.

And I know I've been guilty of being condescending too and I know I need to try to work on that here.

If you see nothing wrong with how you wrote your post, the problems will continue around here. That's what the "Learn. Evolve. Grow up" was all about. It wasn't condescending, it was a slogan for how we should all approach these message boards. People acting as if their poop don't stink and know it all's is the reason for why participation on these boards is low. Like I said, we can do better but it has to start somewhere. I guess I'm just tired of people just being flat out jerks to each other.

Participation on these boards might have to do with how crappy the brewers have played since all star break.

Did you create a poll I missed, that asked members what keeps their participation to a minimum? Oh, maybe there was a "Gallop" poll I missed on this.

You talk about people knowing it all, well you sure seem to act like you do, also a voice for the masses.

I bow down

Excuse me, last Thursday, Aug. 31, attendance was 26,384.

In fairness, isn't capacity roughly 42k? 26k isn't exactly awesome.

It is fine for a Thursday considering playoff contenders Arizona, Baltimore, Minnesota, Cleveland, Miami and Tampa don't even average that many per game much less on the Thursday before many start school.

Plus a gold package Packer game. I mean there are only so many sports fans in baseball's smallest market
