2017-08-30: Cardinals (Martinez) at Brewers (Anderson) 1:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 6-5, ft. game ending catch by Broxton]

Ueck said he brought it back in. That's the way it looked to me.

It looked that way because he jumped well before reaching the wall. That ball goes off the top of the wall if it's not caught.

Just saw a side replay. Looked like a good chance it goes over.

Detroit up 5-0 on Colorado

I'm thinking more and more its the Rockies we should be watching. Not the Cubs.

The Rockies have lots of games remaining against LA and AZ. They very well could go .500 down the stretch.

Agreed. Starting Friday, COL has 17 straight games and 11 of those games are the Dodgers and DBacks (8 in a row on the road). If they make they playoffs, they will certainly earn it.

The Rockies have an increasingly high probability of missing the playoffs. The Cubs are much less likely to falter given their talent and experience.

The Marlins are also a dangerous dark horse, they are above .500 now and are starting to eat into the Brewers' playoff odds.

From what I saw if Keon misses it that is a HR, no question. His mitt was at least 4 inches above the top of the wall.

I will never ever hate the Cubs as much as the Cardinals.

this

I will. I really don't mind the Cardinals anymore. 2011 was a completely different story though. What a collection of jags that group was.

Also, the last out of the game was definitely gone if Keon doesn't catch it.

That's true, they now don't match LaRussa and Carpenter and the rest of that ugly crowd. But it's good to see the other Carpenter upholding the tradition.

And don't forget the 2008 Cards with all their whining about untuckem.

Shades of Carlos Gomez robbing Joey Votto.

Or Keon robbing Rizzo in the exact same spot last year.

I didn't have live video access and I kept missing parts of live audio due to work. I tweeted Lane Grindle after the game asking him to describe the play that everyone was raving about, and he said it was like Keon's rob of Rizzo last year.

Once I did see video, I too thought it might have hit the wall just under the yellow line, had Keon not intervened.

But it's very good to not have to care deeply about that, because dude made the catch. :)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
