Travis not in the lineup. Neither is Pina. Both are tough players who wanted to stay in there but CC needs to sit them out and they need the rest and to heal up. Hope Anderson has a good game today. Unlike Garza who walked too many Cards, played crappy defense and made it difficult to watch the game yesterday. He needs to go and I am sick of seeing him in the starting rotation. Woodruff, Hader, anyone but Garza.

Cardinals traded Mike Leake to the Mariners today. Could this be us with another loss today? Not even sure who we could move.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I doubt it. The Brewers have 7 remaining head to head games against the Cubs.

Go 5-2 and things become very interesting.

Moreover, the Brewers have a stretch coming up where 12 of 15 games are against the Reds, Pirates, Marlins.

That said, the Brewers have 30 games remaining. To make the playoffs, I'll bet they need to go 22-8 or so.

The 4 game dumpster fire against the Twins was not helpful.

that and it's not like we really have anything to dump off. No one will want Garza. Braun obviously not. Our salary is so low there's no harm in keeping Walker and playing the year out. Cards just cleared like 40 Mil, there's nothing like that out there for MKE. I'm sure deep down management knows how low the odds are of making it, but really you've got nothing to lose by keeping to go for it and everything to gain.

Great start though today. He'll settle in and get at least 6 innings with 3 runs or less.

I almost wish we wouldn't have had the success early on so we were about 10 back and I could just not care about this right now. Just so disappointing.

Nah it's good to be involved, have to embrace the stress of it. like the old better to have loved and lost than to never at all saying.

As Badger fans my friends and all the painful last second or late losses in football my friends and I always used to say it would be better to just get beat soundly and not have pain of the close losses. Then 59-0 happened and we realized we were wrong.

I thought the early success was fun. It gave us some interesting games and hope for the playoffs.

Right now bad fielding from the Cards and Santana scores. Let the Cards get some of that bad fielding today. It's their turn!

Thames was so hot during that early season drive. He was a superstar. Today he strikes out with men on base and has come down to earth.

Anyway the Crew now lead 3-2 thanks to Sogard.

I think the biggest effect of the early success is that it forced the Cubs to make some moves. I for one am very happy we will not have to face Eloy Jimenez or Jaimer Candelario for the next 8 years.
