When we acquired Walker I said my only real concern is that Villar will simply rot on the bench. That is exactly what has happened.

I understand that a premium needs to be put on winning right now, but it's kind of too bad that we won't have the opportunity the rest of the year to find out if he's going to turn it around and see if he is part of our future or not. He was showing signs of a rebound, too.

I doubt it, bad umping and bad defense is making this so much worse than it should be. Though I hate watching him pitch, every time he gets ahead he sits outside the strike zone and everyone knows he is going to do it so they just take everything.

The Garza hatred runs strong in some. A mess of an inning created by crappy defense. Heck even the one Garza booted around probably is an out if Pina just catches the ball. These are the nights that are so frustrating with this team. A chance to knock out the Cards at home and we lay an egg.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

The comments here are already great. The inning should be over. Not only that, but any other pitcher people would be complaining about how we got squeezed on the missed strike calls to alter ABs. Then his catcher dropped the ball so instead of an out a run scored with no out being achieved.

Matt Garza gave up a single and a walk...his team decided to give up three runs.

Yeah he is tough to watch but this inning is mostly about the defense...

I just hate the way he nibbles.....it really is like watching Suppan in his last year or 2 with the Brewers when he knew his stuff wasn't good enough to get hitters out anymore.
