Jesus was 3 for his last 27 before yesterday........

Yep. We just can't accept that both Thames and Aguilar have their warts but also are good ball players that have their streaks. Thames is OPS'ing mid .800's during his last month of play but yeah, let's just put him to the pasture.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

[sarcasm]Remember, only Broxton is streaky, no one else in baseball is.[/sarcasm]

Whole lot of recency bias going on in this thread (and most IGTs).

I'll make sure to send Stearns his participation trophy after the year lol I'm kidding, sort of. It's not that they haven't tried doing more it's that guys like Torres/Drake are even still on this team when there were options to be had (Neshek) that could have helped propel this team to the playoffs. It's okay to see the things Stearns hasn't done great on as well as all the awesome moves he has made. Everyone really needs to chill when discussing him.

I don't know why you keep saying this, no one is getting worked up. :tongue

I literally just started our by politely explaining why I disagree with that perspective.

Yeah I didn't have an issue with how you responded. More of a generalization. Any time someone makes a remark against Stearns there seems to be 10 back at the person.

Five run lead so we better walk a couple of batters to help them out more.

Thank you Hughes!

For the walks? Or the strikeout? Never can tell.
