Maybe I was right in putting Ponce ahead of Ray after all. Ponce back to his earlier season form tonight, Ray... had a tough night. Working on driving the ball the opposite way or whatever he is working on doesn't matter when you can't hit the ball.

Biloxi's game 2 is getting interesting...

Final: Carolina 3, Down East 2, 12 innings

McDowell scores twice in 3-2, 12-inning victory

The Mudcats totaled three runs on only three hits in their 3-2, 12-inning victory

Greg does a fine job of explaining how the Mudcats pulled out a game they had little right to win statistically...

Corey Ray 0-for-5 with four strikeouts. Sigh...133 K's in 95 games.

Wes Wilson had a similar game line, but that won't bring up the same level of concern among readers here, naturally.

Biloxi's game 2 is getting interesting...

And there's your first no-hitter of the season, a 7-inning, 4-pitcher gem via Burgos/Snow/Ramirez/Lopez!

Not the sexiest no-hitter, but it was against the Cubs!!!

A no-hitter against the Cubs is sexy even if it came by an 87 year old grandma throwing underhand... :laughing
