Let's make this abundantly clear. There is no way with how little the offense has produced that this team should be staying in this. The pitchers have done a phenomenal job give them credit!

Hope swarzak is available tomorrow. Knebel isnt.

Trivia question: Aside from the aforementioned Mike Fiers, who are the other 3 Brewers to have an immaculate inning?

Rick Helling did in the 1st inning in 2006 against the Tigers. Then he got lit up in the 2nd. I know this because I was at that game.

That is just how baseball works. The Royals were by far the worst offense in baseball for like the first 7 weeks of the season. They have been the best offense in baseball the past few weeks. The variance of production is just huge in this sport. People like to say this or that has been going on for 2 or 3 months so it is no longer a small sample, the reality is that a full season of baseball is still a small sample. Most results on a baseball field take more than a full season to become significant.

I can only imagine what this thread would look like if the roles were reversed! Man, bases loaded two innings in a row, and then 1st and 3rd with no outs, and no runs?!?!

We've been there, done that.

You know Matt Garza has pretty similar starts a lot of times(bunch of jams he gets out of), but he sure doesn't get this much praise.

On a note that won't get people all riled up it was nice to see him battle through the tough situations he got into on non hard hit balls. Love when pitching prospects have promising first starts.

Garza has had a pretty good season this year. Our pitching outside of a couple of games this year has been better than I thought it would be. If we could only figure out how to hit again...
