Monte Harrison at it again.

I put this question in the prospect poll discussion thread but I'm not sure that Harrison will not have taken the bigger step forward (over gatewood) this year when it's all over.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I don't think some have noticed how much Gatewood has struggled since May.

June OPS - .654

July - .697

OPS now under .800 for the season.

Two more really good outings for Nick Ramirez and Owenby. Ramirez only needed 34 pitches to get through 3 innings. Both guys could be legitimate future LHRPs.

Owenby / Jankins -- oh, yeah.

Rattlers win the error battle 4-0. This has been a good defensive team. Sure enough, Rattlers scored an unearned run in a one-run game.

Wes Wilson was a pretty well regarded prospect coming out of high school, but never really put it together at Clemson for whatever reason. He has legit plus raw power and he seems to me to show some ability to recognize offspeed stuff, though he has modest bat speed and has trouble catching up. He has a big frame and could add more good weight to help him tap into his power more, which is his only plus tool at the moment.

After adjusting for league factors, below average production across the board in Carolina, but above average across the board in Wisconsin. He's a little old for the Midwest League, but not unreasonably so.

I don't know that he's a starting prospect at second or third, but I like him and think he has a good shot to be a utility guy at the highest level.

Yeah I was wondering if he was a little old. I didn't realize he was at Carolina earlier in the season either. Thanks for the responses! I thought Owenby and Jankins both looked good last night too, although that's without the benefit of a radar gun.
