Thanks for participating Villar

Wasn't able to watch before now. Was Villar used as a pinch hitter? That would be idiotic with Aguilar on the bench yet. Plus Villar can't hit. Might as well use a Molina as a pinch runner

Yeah, pinch hit and stayed in at 2nd. Popped up first pitch.

Good god. Villar must just be a"Counsell guy"-makes no sense

Difficult to take pleasure in win when offense has been so putrid for so long.

It's never difficult for me to take pleasure in beating the Cardinals. In fact, any day the Cardinals lose is a half-decent day.

Great bullpen performance tonight. Some hard hit outs helped, but having Swarzak makes things a bit easier in the late innings. Wake the bats up tomorrow, and let's take the series!

That's true! My hatred for the Cubs has made my hatred for the Cards go to the wayside.

Jimmy is getting tremendous movement and his command is really good. I couldn't be happier with him. He's who we thought he could be. I could be wrong but I don't see him falling off a cliff. I think he's a guy you write down in ink now with the expectation of being a solid starter. I know people like to dub him a three or four starter. I think he's more like a two.

Was listening on the radio. Am I imagining things or was Uecker sounding pretty agitated that the Brewers weren't buyers at the deadline?

I didn't listen to him, but I'd be curious about that.

Swarzak does look like he's a nice pickup in a mission critical spot.

They talked prior to a broadcast this year that this version of Nelson was started last year. They were reworking his mechanics and it came to fruition this year. Unless he completely loses them... they fixed Nelson. When is the last time we said that about a brewer pitcher... he didn't go to say toronto and get better... it happened right here.

I have zero issue calling nelson a 2, anderson a 3 and Davies a good 5 (cant repeat this enough... 3.7 era since start 5 april 25)

Questions for the future. .. do we add a game over ace.... what is woodruff... is suter really a magician or is this a hot start... hader secondary pitch control.

Until woodruff fails or suter implodes im quite happy we didnt chase gray or quintana and I dont see a Hader rotation spot in 2018. (Due to projected high pitch count short outings)

We could very well be looking at no place for guerra but espino role and garza 5 mil option trade bait. Woodruff suter get the rest of the year to prove it.
