That dinky hit-and-run is pretty indicative of what happens when you're losing games. When you're winning, Mercer hits a soft liner to Arcia and it's an inning-ending doubleplay. Way she goes.

Why is the pull side covering the base on a steal attempt?

That's what I said. Mercer must be a push happy hitter?

He looks like a typical righty, majority of ground balls to the left side

I get it, Broxton is a streaky hitter, but there is really no excuse for how bad he's been lately. It's too bad Brinson didn't light it up while he was up here so we didn't have to worry about Broxton being our everyday center.

I like Broxton, I like his toolset, and I really want him to succeed, but he's just not gettin' it done.

I'm sure he feels the extra pressure with knowing what's in the rear view too. Easier said than done, but he needs to think nothing but right field in his approach.

Even a Davies start can't wake this offense out of its slumber.......

I mean it's been more of just not quite getting the big hit than a bad slump. They did have like 13 hits yesterday.

They aren't scoring runs....and it's been going on for 5 games now

Lack of timely hitting has certainly been a part of it
