Ok so question...

Followed the power 50 since well before it ceased but admittedly baseball isn't my sport. I try to leave my rankings to football because that's where my opinion actually carries weight. Baseball I'm more or less spitballing but I follow they link report fairly closely. Is that qualified enough or am I tainting your rankings?

I'm going to be way too high on Kodi... fair warning.

Since I passed the rigorous vetting process, if you can count to 25 I think you are good.

Thanks for the reminder! I did forget him. I added him and moved the guys under him down a slot. Usually when I do these lists I'm just trying to find names to plug in once I get into the 20s -- now, there's guys I wanted much higher that I just couldn't find room for. Speaks to how deep this farm is I think.

Per request inputting the 3 Major Leaguers.

1. Brandon Woodruff-I can't wait to see him pitch in the Majors for this team and it starts tomorrow!

2. Isan Diaz-my previous #1. Remember he's going to bat at 2nd base, everything impresses for that, Diaz/Arcia combo will be awesome!

Josh Hader

3. Corbin Burnes- Soon to be a #1 on these lists if he's going to continue posting these numbers Wow!

4. Luis Ortiz- 6'3" multiple pitch arsenal and still young. He doesn't need much improvement to jump off the charts as an easy #2 coming!

5. Monte Harrison- Having a breakout year, he's healthy Think he's the best bat forthcoming among the position prospects He's also a future #1...probably after Burnes graduates

Lewis Brinson

6. Cody Ponce- Like Luis Ortiz has multiple pitches, a little behind but a workhorse coming who's improving

7. Freddy Peralta- Posting the numbers, well deserving. Fear the 5'11" height to pause on SP over a RP future.

8. Lucas Erceg- maybe a down year, but so impressive previously at 3b need

9. Jake Gatewood- He may have settled down a little from his amazing start, but considering the huge jump from last year, another offseason what can that bring?

Brett Phillips

10. Tristan Lutz- Fast start 18yr old nice size OF, gets the nod above..

11. Keston Hiura- Here we go a college bat that does perform to the expectations. 21yrs old so notched below.

12. Kodi Medeiros- Higher than most but he's improving and playing, unlike a few higher ranked pitching prospects. There's always nasty late ip RP to fall back on

13. Mauricio Dubon- Could be the 2b solve but really the utility for Milw or in a trade, better 2b prospects so backup SS to Arcia future

14. Jacob Nottingham- Catcher quality, enough future to see a stay in Milw or in a trade at some point

15. Mario Feliciano- Doing well, ranked for a Catcher future like Nottingham if that future changes so will this ranking

16. Trent Clark- former 1st round pick. Some to like, some that's disappointing, wasn't a fan draft day not ranking higher.

17. Troy Stokes- Out performing the previous two 1st round picks. Deserves some love in the rankings

18. Marcos Diplan- Had a great year up to this season, still some numbers to like

19. Phil Bickford- Giving some respect to previous rankings, but when is the last time he took the field?

20. Trey Supak- Some promise given up a lot HRs lately, the other numbers are better

21. Carlos Herrera- Younger version of Freddy Peralta from the Lind trade? Numbers starting to shine

22. Corey Ray- Nearing full removal with his numbers. What a wasted 5th pick, the names we passed on who are shining is numbing.

23. Je'Von Ward- I'm out of players may as well go with someone who's a 12th rd pick this year that is performing up to Ray's standards

25. Josh Hader- You complete my list. Awesome Job to start your career! GL

We have a system to vote, and I'd appreciate that people adhere to the rules. To simply remove players from eligibility skews the results. Brinson, Hader, and Phillips are all eligible and part of this voting.

TOP 25 [difference from my pre-season ranking in brackets]

1 Lewis Brinson [same]

2 Josh Hader [same]

3 Luis Ortiz [up 4] - is pitching nearly as well as Woodruff did in last year's breakout performance, but at 2 years younger than he was.

4 Brandon Woodruff [up 2]

5 Brett Phillips [up 14]

6 Corbin Burnes [up 15]

7 Freddy Peralta [up 13]

8 Keston Hiura [new n/a] - crushin it

9 Monte Harrison [up 5]

10 Mauricio Dubon [down 1] - only 22 and on a hot streak at AAA, but like others in Colorado- home/road splits give me pause.

11 Phil Bickford [down 3]

12 Jacob Gatewood [up 4]

13 Taylor Williams [same] - missing two years of tread, so the way i see it, his arm is only 23 years old.

14 Trent Clark [up 4]

15 Marcos Diplan [down 5] - still high on diplan, like Clark, he is only 20 in A+ and able to K advanced hitters

16 Corey Ray [down 13] - hoping he breaks out again in August.

17 Kodi Medeiros [up 10] - as others have mentioned, is starting to put it together- nobody can hit him when he's on.

18 Tristen Lutz [new n/a]

19 Jordan Yamamoto [new, up 14] - he's the same age as Peralta, Supak, Kodi and outpitched all the starters at A+ not named Burnes.

20 Jacob Nottingham [down 8] - well, he could hit high A pretty good...still young, still young.

21 Trey Supak [up 3] - struggling to adjust to A+ after dominating Wisconsin, but has great stuff

22 Mario Feliciano [same]

23 Isan Diaz [down 18] - everyone's entitled to an off year. but, was his low BA last year a warning sign?

24 Lucas Erceg [down 20] - was enamored with him this spring. most disappointing this year. believe he'll turn it around.

25 Cody Ponce [down 10] - just hangin on

APOLOGIES TO:

26 Larry Ernesto - [new] hard to put anyone in the top 25 if they're only 16 and never even played in the DSL. but def like the videos/scouting reports i've seen.

27 Carlos Rodriguez - [new] see above

28 Nathan Kirby - [down 11] could be on the top half of my 25 if he comes back healthy....big if.

29 Devin Williams - [same] before injury would be in top 25, but want to see how he looks when he comes back.

Would have made it FWIW

Garrett Cooper would have been #12 on my list- after absolutely annihilating AAA competition. just kept hitting all year. wish him well- and hope he Overbay's it in the big leagues. (Tyler Webb- please be awesome to help the sting go away)

Ryan Cordell would have been #25 on my list. well, actually #27, but in tribute- i'll put him there. (if Swarzak gets us to the play-offs- def worth it)

DIDN'T MAKE IT AFTER MAKING MY PRE-SEASON TOP 25

Jorge Lopez- was #11 and has slipped 24 spots to #35.

Jesus Aguilar was my #25 and the only one last spring that had him in the BF Community Top 25...subtle boast.
