Win two out of three and we'll find our way into the playoffs.

We should trade for Neshek. Guys good!

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Aren't the Brewers 0-fer when trailing after 8?

I wonder how often a team goes through a whole year without winning a game like that. I really have no idea, so maybe it happens all the time. Just feels like the way this team hits it would come through at least once in a spot like that, though the 3-run deficit today might be asking a bit much.

Please shut up about the '82 Brewers already.

The 1982 team is the point of this weekend.

Hmm, here I thought the 2017 Brewers were the point of the weekend.

IIRC, we have had 2 walkoffs this year. We must have been tied going into the 9th

Why is Perez on 1B after that bloop? Had he been running full speed, there is no reason he isn't on 2B.

Grrrr

Even if you have a 90% shot of making it there is 0 reason to risk it down 3 in the 9th. They need 3, in that situation he can cruise to 2nd on defensive indifference in the next AB if he wants to.

Mccalvy tweet

Barnes and Knebel were down today, CC said. Made going to a PH in the fifth a gamble, but said he would do it again.

Well, it certainly paid off. Can't really argue with a go-ahead PH homer. Hard to predict such a trainwreck the next inning.

If he is hustling, he makes it 100% of the time, there was no risk involved at all if he is hauling butt. Probably goes into 2B standing if he is hustling.

A 2-1 game and Scahill and Webb are your first arms in. I just don't get it. Pitching change with the bases loaded and nobody out. Hughes to try to get a ground ball? Hader to try to get a couple K's? No, let's go with the career AAA lefty with 6 career innings making his Brewer debut. Makes sense.

Why in the hell would Counsell put that kid in that kind of situation for his first appearance for his new team?? Counsell has done some great things this year but sometimes some of his decisions really make me shake my head.

Someone here in another thread said it is rather sad that the Brewers are celebrating a team that lost a World Series. 1982 is ancient history. The Packers were guilty of that crap - pining for the 60s - until the 1990s and the team began to win again. At least those Lombardi Packers actually won something...

And if he tried to go to 2nd and he was thrown out folks would be complaining about that. 99.9% of the time 3 big leaguers aren't gonna let a pop-up like that fall to the ground. Perez getting to 1B safe like that was a gift. Its a shame we couldn't capitalize on it.
