As touched on in the podcast, rough night for leadoff RF Carlos Belonis and also discussed, just two lonely Timber Rattler singles, but plenty of scoring chances with seven walks and an HBP, all for naught.

AZL Brewers 10, AZL Reds 6

AZL Brewers Boxscore

Two pro debuts last night for the Baby Brewers, both NDFA catchers. Alex Guenette started the game and went 1-3; he was pinch hit for by Johan Mojica in the 6th, who finished the game at backstop, going 0-2.

Keston Hiura lead the way again on offense, going 3-5. When I went to bed last night, he was 2-5 but apparently one of the Reds' errors was turned into a hit at some point. All three hits were singles. Weak.

Nick Egnatuk, Kenny Corey, and Julian Jarrard each chipped in with 2 hits. Each had a double and a single. Jarrard's hits were his first as a pro. Pat McInerney added three more walks to his season total, now giving him 10 in 15 official at-bats.

Pseudo-rehabbing Drake Owenby got his second start and pitched a clean two innings, save for a walk. He struck out four. Matt Hardy pitched a scoreless eighth and ninth to earn his first win as a pro.
