Well Freeman was terrible last year but not so terrible this year.

Haven't seen him pitch this year and the ERA is obviously good but a 2.42 ERA with a 1.48 WHIP seems like an incredibly lucky line.

A mediocre starting pitcher. Reminds me, the other day at miller park i saw a matt kinney jersey.

Mediocre is rather generous.

I mean he was no jimmy haynes.

Wes Obermueller was just unlucky all the time.

Tough break there. Hit it hard too.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Ball was hit behind him. 9 times out of 10 the SS goes to 1B. Can't really blame Thames for a great play.

Yup. I'm actually shocked that a few minutes have elapsed and nobody here has complained.

I didn't see it so I'm just going by what they said on the radio, but unless Thames was clearly out it makes no sense why Counsell wouldn't at least try to challenge that.

He was clearly out.

Yeah just a series of unfortunate events combined with a couple errors and it equates to this loss. Crap.

Gotcha, on the radio they said Thames might have snuck a hand in there.

I disagree. That was not a difficult play. And in that situation they are going to go for the out at third. Thames knows he is not fast and that was not smart base running.

He was certainly out but not clearly out. And it's up the umpires now, Craig can't challenge he can only ask them to look at it.

And I'm going to disagree with you. Swanson was going up the middle away from third base. Almost never is a SS going to make that throw to 3B when there's an easy out at 1B.

I think we've seen enough of the replay system to know by now that if you want them to look at it, they'll look at it.

I didn't see it and it sounds like it wouldn't have mattered but if it's remotely questionable there's no reason not to ask.
