It seems like MLB.com gets smashed this time every year and it drops. It's the only way I follow the draft. Seems to be back up now.

You can stream it on MLB.com

At least from what I can see, nothing's updating on MLB.com. The tracker isn't working and neither is the stream. Oh well, hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Edit: Apparently it's just Chrome. Changed browsers and it worked.

Hunter Greene goes #2. I hate to see him down the road facing Milwaukee.

Hard not to root for him though. Terrific kid.

Yep. I loved the smile on his face when he put on the jersey. Just looked thrilled/overwhelmed/happy.

Saw that Jim Callis reported that Brendan McKay turned down an offer from the Twins to go 1.1. Curious to compare what type of offer he turned down versus what he is going to get paid when he gets drafted.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

I'm guessing it was $6M or so. I bet that's what Lewis signs for. Maybe $6.5M.

If McKay is a tough sign... could he slip?

EDIT: Guess he didn't.

Rays take McKay as a 1B. Not sure I like that for them but okay.

AL team is good. He can DH and pitch. Assuming he's allowed to do that.

Question: can you DH someone else in your lineup? Example, if McKay is the pitcher, could they DH a light hitting SS? I don't think so - but I thought someone might know.

MLB DH is for the pitcher only.

Really that low? I thought the slot for 1.1 was almost 8 million.

Just looked it up. McKay could actually be a starting pitcher and the Rays could just elect not to name a DH which would then force McKay (and pinch hitters) to become the de facto DH.

I'm betting Minnesota low balled the offers on the first pick. Lewis took that offer - McKay didn't. It gives them an extra $1-1.5M later in the draft to play with.

Just a guess on my part.
