Just two days ago --

The Brewers must love getting tied up around internet and Twitter rumors and speculation, some of it perpetuated here. Just remember, to all in the organization, it just means fans care, which is a whole lot better than not caring.

Nice job by Brent here posting the full Rick Sweet Q&A on the topic.

Sky Sox explain strategy behind prospect Josh Hader's abbreviated starts

Brent Briggeman, Colorado Springs Gazette

***

The Brewers played the media, us, the fanbase, etc...

It's pretty clear why. You can't have a big league bullpen full of guys knowing that Hader would be up within a week or so after a couple of "abbreviated" outings to prep.

Rick Sweet sure played his role well here -- kudos, sir.

Pretty sad when your AAA team is in first place and they have their 3rd bullpen game this week...Send some starters up...ridiculous planning brewers organization especially when they knew Hader was going to get called up....There are actually guys on the team that want to win.

Jordan Yamamoto (6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K) and Kodi Medeiros (3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K) combined on a 2 hit shutout. It was the first time Myrtle Beach has been shutout this season. The shutout was preserved in the 3rd inning when Carlos Belonis gunned down Trent Giambrone at the plate on a prospective sacrifice fly. That inning saw the last hit by Myrtle Beach in the game.

The only run of the game came on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Jake Gatewood (0-3, sacrifice fly). Corey Ray (1-3, 2B, SB) scored the run. Isan Diaz (1-3, 2B, BB) and Trent Clark (2-4) contributed.

Not a Brewers story in any way (Mudcats, though), and is shaping up to be quite a legal drama -- also goes to show how fragile a career opportunity can be:

FYI, exactly one month after his last Biloxi game, traded OF Victor Roache made his Dodgers' debut on June 1st at the High-A level in the California League, he homered in each of his first two games, including a grand slam in game two. Overall, he's 4-for-19 with three walks but ten strikeouts with his new club in Rancho Cucamonga.
