NOTE: Until later tonight, we won't know the box score shortcut code for the new co-op Brewers/Indians squad. (MiLB calls the team Indians/Brewers, but we can't have that, now can we? :)).

You'll be able to find the box score for the team's debut game at the link provided above.

As of now, MiLB is not including that box score on the "organizational" link:

MiLB.com feature -- organizational scoreboard, Brewers

We'll drop them a note by Monday and see if they can rectify that for us.

AUDIO via the Peoria Journal-Star: "Do you keep a scorecard at baseball games? For Nathan Baliva, voice of the Peoria Chiefs and Chris Mehring, voice of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, it’s more than just a job, it’s a passion — some might say, obsession —they’ve developed over decades. Each has created a unique style of colorful shorthand, code words and chicken scratches — likely indecipherable by the average fan — that tell the story of the game."

Only two of the Dominican Summer League's 20 scheduled contests reported results to MiLB.com, and neither of the two Brewers games were posted. Hopefully later Sunday, which is a league-wide off day as usual (every Sunday idle).

Final: DSL Mets2 2, DSL Brewers 4

The DSL kids got off on the right foot as they doubled up the Mets on Saturday by a score of 4-2. The Brewers scored single runs in the fourth and sixth innings, but the Mets rallied back to tie things up with two runs in the top of the eighth before the Cerveceros answered right back with two runs in their half of the inning to provide the final margin of victory.

DSL Brewers Box Score

17-year-old shortstop Jean Carlos Carmona, one of Milwaukee's higher profile signings last season, had a nice debut for the Brewers, reaching base three times, collecting a single, double and a walk, while also scoring three of the team's four runs. Centerfielder Pablo Abreu also doubled while 18-year-old Aaron Familia, playing first base in this one, singled, walked and drove in a pair of runs. 21-year-old right-hander Johan Dominguez got the start and worked five scoreless frames, striking out five, with Jesus Brea going 2/3 of an inning for the win while Jenri Montas closed the door in the ninth to earn the save.

Final: DSL Indians/Brewers 3, DSL Astros Orange 5

The Brewers co-op team didn't have quite as much success in their opener, as they fell to the Astros by a score of 5-3. The Co-op Crew took a lead into the bottom of the eighth but the Astros rallied for three runs to come back and secure the victory.

DSL Indians/Brewers Box Score

21-year-old righty Joaquin De La Cruz got the starting nod and pitched well, allowing just one run on four hits over six innings of work. He walked two and struck out eight, leaving in line for the win before the bullpen coughed up the lead. 17-year-old Wilmy De Jesus, who signed with the Brewers last December, got roughed up for three runs in an inning of work and was charged with the loss. 19-year-old Puerto Rican catcher Bryan Torres finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored while gunning down one of the two runners who tried to steal against him. 19-year-old Venezuelan first baseman Javier Castillo was the only other Brewers farmhand to record a hit in this one, going 1-for-3 from the number nine spot in the order.

DSL Indians/Brewers Game Log

Walks and errors played a key role in the fateful bottom of the eighth.

Thanks Brad, wasn't sure you were going to notice the late Sunday update of the boxes, so I had put this together, mainly to note professional debuts.

Final: DSL Brewers 4, DSL Mets #2 Squad 2

The Brewers "full" squad, all players their own, saw a 2-0 lead evaporate in the top of the 8th, then scored two runs in the bottom of the frame.

DSL Brewers Box Score

Professional debuts from this game:

Players signed at the July 2nd international signing date in 2016 --

17-year-old Victor Maria played second base, singled and scored a run

Switch-hitting 17-year-old SS Jean Carmona had a fine debut, 2-for-3 (double, single walk, SB). He had signed for $725,000.

17-year-old Pablo Abreu, an $800,000 signee, doubled and had an RBI in four AB's. He did exit the game after flying out in the 8th, but let's not read too much into that for now.

Just-turned 17-year-old RF Anderson Melendez was 0-for-4.

Another OF playing in his age 17 season, Francis Florentino, was 0-for-3, as was

3B Jean Cruz, yet another, yes, 17-year-old (0-for-3).

A December signing, OF Luis Valdez, debuted as a defensive replacement.

20-year-old Venezuelan RHP Jose Parra, signed this March, made his pro debut.

DSL Brewers Game Log

Making the start was 21-year-old Johan Dominguez, almost shocking he's not stateside -- check out last year's peripherals. He tossed five scoreless here.

21-year-old RHP Jesus Brea kicked off his 4th DSL season.

Pro debuts from the co-op game:

18-year-old 3B Rafael Brito, signed last month, was 0-for-3, pinch-hit for late

17-year-old Panamanian OF Bryan Dimas, signed last July 16th, was 0-for-1 but walked twice

And Brad noted 17-year-old RHP Wilmy De Jesus' debut above.

On the surface, it seems the Brewers' own full squad is the less experienced group.
