Still not acceptable for how you spoke to me. I didn't attack you personally at all. Sharing my opinion on how some of us treat certain players on here is all and you don't care for it. Doesn't give you any right to make that remark.

I apologize, but your demeanor here turns off a lot of posters... Yup, I shouldn't have gone there.

So now you speak for a lot of posters? Give me a break. This board is getting into a very bad habit of tearing down anyone who has a differing opinion. My thoughts didn't attack anyone individually. It only pointed out that some players get butchered, sometimes for little things, while a guy like Knebel blows a game (3BS) and not a peep about him.

I've seen others say it's because Villar just makes so many mistakes and all that and I accept their opinion and would've easily moved on. You just decided to be not to nice to me for really no reason other than we disagree.

...and I apologized.

Well thats 32 Ks through 9 innings, probably a top 10 stat.

Villar and Agular both with the Golden Sombrero

Villar with 4 Ks and booted a double play. Aguilar 4 Ks and booted a routine foul pop.

Hard to imagine worse days for either.

The booted plays could have cost them the game already. At least we got out of it.

With every player now trying to launch in 500ft we may see the K record broke.

Great catch there by Broxton, obviously, but I can't help but feel bad for Jimmy Nelson. Dude deserved a win here for certain.

Not sure Keon needed to dive on that ball but good catch none the less.

Save situations are a crap stat for predictive performance. Given 30 save opportunities for each , who among Knebel and Feliz would you expect to convert more the rest of the way?

I'm not even advocating removing Knebel but at what point is it not okay for him to cost us games? What's your breaking point on a closer? I guess we'll never know how many Feliz would have racked up but he did come through 8 of 9 times.

But there's so much more to this stat.

For example -- How many of the save opportunities for Feliz were more routine 2-3 run lead save opportunities? How many of Knebel's have been 1 run leads with no margin for error?

Case in point, if Knebel has even one insurance run in either of his 2 blown saves since becoming closer, he saves both of them.

Somewhere Briggs is shaking his head at this game.

Honestly everyone should be, this is out of hand. The pendulum has swung too far the other way

I totally agree.... unless we win... then it's all good.

The strikeouts now are starting to annoy me past the point of how excited I was for Jimmy tonight. What a shame.

Awesome play right there for Villar to start the 11th!

Torres has his moments. May was pretty good to him.
