Kind of excited for this one. Overall, I know it doesn't mean much but in my mind I'd like to pretend it's a playoff game. Win or lose Kershaw is a joy to watch, though I'd be happy to see an early exit.

This is the Jimmy Nelson I always hoped he would be in his last start and tonight through 3 innings.

 

Using his off speed stuff more often, pounding the zone, hitting 96 on the gun with lots of ks.

 

I don't expect it to continue but has been fun to watch.

My point was though that the 1st inning may end up being our only shot at getting to Kershaw.

If Kershaw has another 10 years similar to his last 10 years, he'll have well over 4,000 career strikeouts, which is quite a lot.

 

 

He'll also be 1500+ Ks short of Nolan Ryan's record.
