Jack Z Suprises?

It was about this time last year when we first started hearing Rogers' name being linked to the Brewers, much higher than any draft board had him.

Perhaps the draft goes as expected above us (Upton, Gordon, Tulowitzki, Zimmerman) and he skips Maybin for "makeup" reasons

If Jack again goes "off the chart" who do you think it'll be?

Andrew McCutchen?

Jay Bruce?

My guess?

Justin Bristow

BA's latest update has the Brewers high on the Braun, the Miami 3b, if Zim and Gordon are both gone.

homer beat me to Braun, who is the most obvious one from the college ranks.

Otherwise I think you have all of the prep ones. I've heard that Bristow is being thought of more and more as a pitcher now, even though I personally prefer him as a positional prospect.

CJ Henry may be another possibility, and South Carolina SS Reese Havens is being talked about as a potential mid first rounder.

I missed this before, but Cameron Maybin has outstanding makeup. That actually makes him even more likely to be the Brewers pick, and it has been called a 6th tool for him. I spoke with him a few weeks ago in an interview I conducted for Perfect Game. Look for that interview to be up on their homepage early next week.

I was pretty happy to get an arm like Rogers' in the system last year, but the player I (and many others on the board) wanted was Chris Nelson. This year that player is Maybin. The pick has got to be Braun.

Last year I want to see Nelson or Bailey. This year I don't think you can pass up on Maybin cuz I think this guy could be great maybe the next Griffrey and if they do pass im up (mistake) I really would have to go with my fav college baseball teams star 3rd baseman that i have been watchin since fresman year Ryan Braun.
