Uecker saying that one of those called a ball was a strike. Home town call and leads to walking in that run.

But too many other times this bullpen comes in and promptly walks batters.

Can't watch, Gameday showed them as very borderline. Wouldn't surprise me, CB Buckner is the absolute worst and the textbook example for a need for machines to call balls and strikes.

But yeah, that's a terrible move by Collins and Scahill makes him look like a genius. Should have never even gotten to 2-2. It's a weak hitting pitcher . Throw strikes.

Santana keeps it going......wow what a blast

Was it? Ueck thought it was a ground rule double for a minute. :/

It hit the metal fence over the orange line. It was was a curveball at his ankles.

The Cubs and Cardinals, arguably better teams on paper, are not going to be playing sloppy, uninspired baseball much longer. The Crew has to play with more desperation. Counsell tends to exhibit that laid back style that makes fans nervous. The time to strike is NOW. While we're on the road where we play so well. If we had a Zillion dollar pitching staff like the Cubs it would be OK to be chillin. Not now.

I am new to this forum. Can someone explain why when Soberg was brought up and was hitting and getting on base crazy good, when Braun came off the DL he was benched back to a utility role. Why not keep in in the lineup until he stops being a standout on offense. Since the Brewers are such a tight team, some guy like Villar would have sucked it up and sat down.

Because Sogard is a career journeyman utility player who has over 1,200 career ABs that show he's a mediocre player, and 10 hits didn't change that.

Maybe if they were a contender and concerned with every possible win over development right now, they might have tried to ride the hot streak. But since they're rebuilding they have to see if guys like Villar and Perez have a future here.
