Let's hope the DBacks ace has a bad day. Miller Park needs to have some home run power from the Crew.

No more first place but I don't want to see last place either. Get going guys!

Always love walking the leadoff guy. But to one up that, walk the first two of the game. Inexcusable.

The fact that Thames still has an OPS of 1.000+ is amazing. Can't remember the last good day at the plate he's had.

18 pitches to retire the first 6 batters. Gut feeling is a complete game shutout, with how good Greinke is and how bad our offense has been recently. Really hope to be wrong though, obviously!

I don't know if he's just trying too hard lately or what, because it looks like he is at times, but he's 3 for his last 29 with no extra base hits. Really struggling.

I'm not sure I believe these radar guns anymore. Anderson has been clocked around 95-96 multiple times today. I just don't remember him throwing that hard. If he does. Bring up Woodruff or Lopez and put him in the pen too.

I hope he can heat up again. I actually think he might be a good trade candidate. Reasonable contract and can play 1B/LF. I wouldn't mind giving Cooper and Aguilar August and September to figure out if we have something there.

Velocity is measured with Statcast this year, as opposed to PITCHF/X in the past. Main difference is that the old system only recorded velocity at one point, something like 50-60 feet away. Statcast tracks it the entire way, and gives the highest number which will be right after the ball leaves the hand. Overall it's ~1mph higher than before.

I think I actually remember them discussing that on the TV now that you wrote that. They had Anderson up to 97 at one point today. Just doesn't feel like he is tossing it 97 or ever could toss it 97.

That being said, if he can keep his pitch count in control he may K 15 today.

Bandy making me forget we ever had Lucroy. Impressive at bat.

Wow, I'm glad we don't have that LF. Neither of those balls are easy catches, but it didn't look like he even tried. Greinke is probably going to go off on him in the locker room later.

And to think we traded Maldonado for him... What was LAAOA thinking?

The crazy thing is if you go to their boards they are just thrilled with Maldonado and think he was their best move of the off-season and essential to their pitching staff.

80 pitches through 5.....not sure he can go the distance.

10 strikeouts and Anderson is dealing. It's so nice to have a starter with such command and past the fifth inning.

Bandy clutch. This team has such a great catching duo.
