Also as within our Transaction thread --

AUDIO via the Rattler Radio Soundcloud: "It’s Thursday and time for the weekly Chat with Matt on the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino Pregame Show. Wisconsin Timber Rattlers manager Matt Erickson discusses Trey Supak & Cameron Roegner, the week ahead, and more."

Trey Supak turns 21 next week, and he gets an early birthday present by getting a bump to Carolina (no corresponding move, yet, Corbin Burnes fans...)

Listen at the link above for the thinking behind the transaction, and other tidbits from the skipper.

Wisconsin starting pitcher Cameron Roegner, a Beloit Memorial graduate, fires in a pitch during Wednesday's game. (Josh Flickinger/Beloit Daily News photo)

BELOIT - Cameron Roegner stood atop the pitching mound at Pohlman Field Wednesday night, took a deep breath and fired in a strike to begin the first inning.

A devoted group of fans applauded enthusiastically, Roegner peered in for the sign and the game continued.

It was a scene that had played out dozens of times before. This time, however? Well this time was different.

Proud parents watch son's return to Pohlman

By Josh Flickinger, Beloit Daily News

BELOIT - Sarah Roegner sat five rows up on the first base side at Pohlman Field, huddled with friends and family against the unseasonable chilly May evening.

Roegner and her husband Matt have already been to several Midwest League ballparks this spring, chasing the exploits of their oldest child Cameron, a pitcher for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

As her son trotted out to the mound on Wednesday night, Sarah couldn't help feeling emotional.

Enough bodies to go around --

Toby noticed that the Brewers will be sharing a 2nd Dominican Summer League team with Cleveland in Boca Chica, to go along with their own Santo Domingo full squad.

Oh joy, two DSL Link Report box scores each day, and in one of them, keeping track of the Milwaukee kids vs. the Cleveland kids. Fun...

They need a catchier name than Cooperativa Milwaukee-Cleveland. Any ideas? Brew-Land? Great Lakes Amigos?

One other random question, I've heard the Indians are one of the teams that implement organization wide weighted ball programs for their pitchers. I wonder if that extends to their DSL prospects? Managing a coop team seems like it presents unique challenges in terms of developing players under potentially different sets of objectives. Maybe it isn't that big of a deal. I am glad to see they are expanding their DSL presence.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Mudcats drop series finale 3-1 at Down East

By Carolina Mudcats | May 25, 2017 10:31 PM ET

Luis Aviles playing for the 2017 Carolina Mudcats at Five County Stadium. (NIKOLAUS - Carolina Mudcats)

For the second straight game the Mudcats bats couldn't do much and they fail to pick up much on Bouie's Creek, which dropped a double header to Salem earlier. Freddie Peralta (5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K) started and took the loss. He gave up his 6th gopher ball of the year, second only to Cody Ponce's 7. As mentioned above, Wuilder Rodriguez (3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K) worked a mostly flawless 3 innings in relief.

Corey Ray went 2-4 and stole his 10th base of the season. Luis Aviles went 2-4 with a double. Troy Stokes Jr. had a double. Jake Gatewood, playing 3rd for the 2nd time in this series, was shut out for hits in the series but did draw a walk today. Cooper Hummel threw out 2 of 2 on stolen base attempts. Trent Clark drew his 30th walk of the season (37 all of last year).
