Pretty impressive starts from Supak, Peralta, and Williams. Unfortunately not so much for Hader.

Berberet and Ramirez have taken to this pitching thing pretty well (not so much tonight for Ramirez, but on the season as a whole).

Some pretty good scouting by the Brewers to sign Ramsey. In 2014 before he got hurt, in 61.1 innings he gave up 35 hits and struck out 80 (walks a little high at 30). Last year coming back from injury in 22 IP he gave up 15 hits and struck out 29.

Seriously free Trey Supak

On another note if Hader continues to struggle what do you do? send him to AA, put him in the MLB rotation anyway, or put him in the MLB bullpen. Not saying we are close to such a decision, but it is something to wonder. If our success continues this year I wonder if he gets promoted to be in the bullpen down the stretch.

I would give him a shot in the MLB bullpen later this year as at some point they're going to need to limit his innings anyway. Chances are good that he'll wind up there anyway.

Obviously kind of disappointing if he does, but it's not like it would be the worst thing in the world if he winds up being the next Andrew Miller.

I don't see anything really accomplished by sticking him back down in AA.

Colorado Springs Box Score

Not a pretty outing for the Sky Sox on Friday. The team’s batters managed only three hits - all singles - as they were shut out 5-0 in Albuquerque.

On the mound, Josh Hader was roughed up, surrendering four runs in 4.1 innings of work. The struggling leftie gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out five while taking the lose.

Sky Sox batters were stifled by Isotope pitchers - particularly starter Barry Enright, who gave up only a pair of hits in six innings.

Kyle Wren (1-4), Ryan Cordell (1-4) and Gabriel Noriega (1-2) had the only Sky Sox hits.

Hader has gone from mediocre to out right struggling thus far in 2018. His ERA has risen to 4.60 in nine starts. He has walked 24 batters and surrendered nine home runs in 45 innings.

Looks like we can't second-guess how the Brewers have handled Taylor Williams (stat lines) in his return from Tommy John surgery, they know they have a prized arm there.

Dustin Houle getting on base at a .441 clip, Oh Canada! The other Dustin (Demuth's) .393 mark isn't shabby. More Dustin's, please!

Biloxi Game Log

Nice work, Jon Perrin. As Williams' tandem partner, he's had to enter mid-inning, start of inning, his maturity seems a nice fit among the other rotation options for the somewhat unique AA assignment.

Carolina Box Score

The performances are starting to match the hype for this very young and very talented squad. 5'11" Freddy Peralta (thank you, Adam Lind, glad you're now doing well with the Nationals), now with 56 K's in 35 IP to go with a .186 batting average against.

Can you see the wave developing, of course you can. Not each starting pitcher is going to make up an All-Star Milwaukee ten-man rotation in coming years, but my goodness, the Brewers will see what Woodruff can do, and then a Ponce - Peralta - Burnes, then a Supak, obviously others sprinkled in, and they're going to hit on a few of these guys.
