So Villar has a .337 wOBA at home this year and a .191 on the road. He hit well at TOR and poorly in the rest of the road games. I wonder if he just really hates playing in the cold.

It's possible. Aramis Ramirez was pretty well known for that. I don't think that is the reason as he was pretty fine last year, but who knows.

It'd be great if Brewers could burn through the Cubs' pen in this game. Butler's at 35 pitches after the Bandy hit.

90 pitches through three... love it

And it is the pitchers fault for the most part. Self inflicted wound.

Broxton is a below average MLB CF, you may convince me is more or less average. But I always see and hear the media glowing like he's one of the best or something.

Almost all of Broxton's value comes from his defense. I'm not sure what you are talking about... is this just based on your eye test?

This is just not true. His range and instincts are among the elite which is a huge benefit in CF. I'll grant that he hasn't been particularly good so far this year, but he was great last season.

That was a terrible error, but he's generally a well above average defender.

Espino is not impressive at all. Normal conditions the Cubs would legitimately have 3 homers off of him.

I have no idea if he's right, but Kerry Wood opined that Espino could be challenging hitters knowing that it will be hard to get a ball out of the yard. Who knows, really.
