Should've stuck Feliz back out there.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

He just said earlier today he's going to get him out of the late innings for awhile and let him get right. Wouldn't be a very good look for him to go back on that the very same day, especially if Feliz ended up blowing another.

All that's fine and dandy but the rest of the pen is no different. Maybe it would've sparked him a bit to get the call in that instance, maybe not but it might've been a great. Sometimes you just gotta do weird things to get out of a funk. Think outside the box a bit.

I'm really close to allowing myself to believe that this really is a .500 or so quality team with the chance to do a little bit better than that if luck falls their way. I'm just not quite there yet.

How much longer do we need to listen to Lepay. He just said what a great prospect Clint Coulter and how well he is doing this year. Said he is now at "AA"! (even though he has been there for three years now).

I'm glad Coulter is on a 4 game tear, but to say he is doing "well" is just completely uninformed.

Coulter has been at AA for less than a year. A total of 55 games.

I do miss Brian Anderson. I was ok with Lepay at the start but he has shown a lack of Brewers knowledge. The Coulter comment was just the latest thing (and no, I really dont think he was just trying to be a homer - I dont think he bothered to look up his stats). Not that Anderson is all that great, just better than Lepay

I take it AB is still doing the NBA playoffs?

LePay: "This has been collectively a good bullpen."

:laughing :laughing :laughing

EDIT: Holy cow, they are actually 11th in MLB in ERA, so he's actually kind of right.

With most of the Brewer starters struggling to go 6 IP. You tend to forget the Bullpen is often pitching 3 plus innings. Giving up 1 run is a 3ERA or less. You remember the runs that are given up because its late in game and often important.

Or maybe being 11th isnt actually good, its just so many teams are bad.

So many new Pitchers struggling to go 5 innings. Remeber hype of Tyler Glasnow? Didnt go 3ip last night. A lot of outs for a bullpen. Put your junk multi inning pitcher in a not close game. Stuff like that.

The way pitchers are coddled these days is annoying but it's not changing. The entire mindset of what pitchers should be doing had changed and with it comes a more fragile product.

Can't decide who is worse between Jerry Augustine and Davey Nelson.

On mlb.tv I tend to watch the other teams stream because I think our whole crew is so bad. Unless we play the White Sox, then I'll turn the sound off~.
