Anyone know the reasoning for a noon start time? Maybe it slips past me but I don't recall too many of those when we are at home.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'll be the first to be slightly disappointed Keon isn't leading off again. 2 spot is ok but it seems to be a fix while Thames sits. Villar needs to take a deep breath down in the 7 hole I think for a bit. Hope I'm wrong.

Hopefully Villar moves down when Braun returns. There's no reason not to have Keon near the top of the order right now.

Broxton out at third trying to steal = good hustle kid.

Villar does it and everyone loses their minds.

It's not a bad move, especially with no Thames in, didn't work out. I didn't see the fly out from Perez but assume it would have scored Keon if he has made it.

I agree there was no reason the other night for everyone getting on Villar for trying to take 3rd with 1 out.

:laughing Yeah, I hear you on all parts. We just seem to pick apart some players and others we don't seem to mind much.

This game has getting out of control written all over it. We very well could be seeing the end of Jimmy Nelson as a starting pitcher for the Crew. (fingers crossed)

Not a great start. Error directly leads to a run in the first. Broxton gets caught trying to steal third.

And now the bases are loaded (2 from walks). The walks recently have really gotten out of hand.

Wow, Jimmy was on the ropes there. Good to see him get out of it.

Well that was a funny double play.

I hope Thames and Braun can at least come off the bench in this one. We may not have much for runs today with this lineup.

Brewers have the highest OPS (And most runs scored) in the majors in the 1st 6 innings. We have the lowest OPS (Second fewest runs scored) in innings 7-9. So a lot riding on the bottom of the 6th!

Does Broxton have a history of making dumb outs on the basepaths?

Interesting stat. I'd be curious to know how teams rank by the difference in OPS between innings 1 - 3 and 6 - 9.

Yet he's gone 6 complete with 1 unearned run. Funny how we pick apart some players. :laughing

As for Villar, his base running bothered CC enough that he sat him out the next day.

It's because with Villar, it is a habit, and gets old... Simple as that.

He got out a base loaded jam and then settled in. Very happy with that I will say. Timing of the post is everything.

And Villar is crucified around here. Way more than he deserves.
