Kind of late to ask this now, but why couldn't the starters go back in after the rain delay last night, and after long delays in general? I really know nothing about what it does to a pitcher's arm to go for a few innings and then shut it down for a couple hours. I'm just curious as to what happens physically that they can't continue to go more, I never pitched and just don't really understand what happens there I guess. Is there just a highly elevated risk of injury at that point, or what? Just curious.

Isnt rock wrong? Isnt the very definition of a force out where you can just touch the base and not have to tag anyone, which makes doubling off jaso a force out and it not matter if they beat cervelli or not?
Remember what Yoda said:

No, force out means you are forced to go to the next base when the batter becomes a runner

Torres needs to be replaced. Now. Meatballs. He throws meatballs. Figure it the flip out Stearns.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

This team needs Braun back in a hurry. We see the importance of him in a hurry.

This is old news at this point but did anyone else question why Harrison wasn't walked to set up the double play at the end?

As he was stepping up to the plate I told my sister "Hey, have you seen the new intentional walk rule .. check this, they will walk him here." Then watched a first pitch walk off...
