Sunday's Shuckers' game summary indicates RHP Luis Ortiz (hamstring) is scheduled to come off the DL on Monday to make the start.

 

The Biloxi roster is at 24 as of Sunday night, so no corresponding move should be necessary. Ortiz will give the Shuckers 13 active arms.

Well, Brinson is playing Monday night, so it's confusing. Anyway, here's the Sky Sox online roster as of this evening, showing 27 players as active.

The Brewers made two moves with the Sky Sox on Tuesday. LHP Andrew Barbosa was placed on the Temporary Inactive List, and catcher Tyler Heineman was placed on the paper "taxi squad" portion of the Helena roster.

 

There are 18 pitchers and 15 position players (including the spot Heineman is taking up) on the Helena roster, so that still leaves room for two players to add to the H-Crew if the organization wishes.

C Kyle Beam was officially activated on the AZL roster last night, which brings that roster total to 34, same as Helena's.

 

CF Tyrone Taylor now officially appears on Biloxi's DL.

 

There are still 17 "missing" players not to be found on any roster.

So what is the actual status on Simmons and Beam? Between the Brewers Dev feed and the roster listings, I'm not clear on that.

Brewers have since announced the signings of Simmons and Beam via their player development twitter feed. Simmons was listed on AndThat's list as being announced shortly. Beam is signed, active, and was not on AndThat's list of "missing players." I could not find Simmons on a current roster.

They are both on the AZL roster. Beam played last night.

 

Those two actually push the AZL roster total to 36, one over the limit. They'll probably make a move in the next day or two as Lazar still needs to report.

SS/2B Devin Hairston, Milwaukee’s 6th round pick of the Brewers in the 2017 draft out of the University of Louisville, has been assigned to the Timber Rattlers. OF Caleb Whalen has been placed on the disabled list.

RHP Hiram Burgos (toe) is scheduled to come off the Sky Sox DL to make the Independence Day start.

 

Colorado Springs won't need to make a corresponding move, but the makeup of the roster will be 14 pitchers, 11 position players upon Burgos' activation, even after so many hurlers had made their way to Milwaukee in recent weeks.

At Colorado Springs, INF Yadiel Rivera is back from Maryvale, technically he had been on the Sky Sox DL, but his time in Arizona was to do some hitting-related work.

 

To make room, RHP Forrest Snow has been placed on the Temporary Inactive List.
