Here's how the Brewers backfilled the four Sky Sox players called up to Milwaukee today, as per the Colorado Springs staff --

RHP Hiram Burgos transferred from Rookie Helena

RHP Tim Dillard transferred from Rookie Helena

LHP Andrew Barbosa activated from the disabled list

INF Lucas Erceg transferred from Class-A Advanced Carolina

18-year-old OF Leugim Castillo has been moved from Maryvale to Helena to replenish the H-Crew outfield. It's not necessarily a statistically-earned bump, but maintains a playoff-bound A-Crew roster. And probably a very cool flight for the young man, a 17th round Lancaster NY high school pick.

Nick Ramirez's instagram story shows him at Mobile Regional Airport 2 hours ago... Shuckers don't finish up in Mobile under Monday. Guessing he's headed to Colorado Springs to help the SkySox in PCL playoffs? Good for him, if so.

The Biloxi Press Release does a nice job of detailing Ramirez' accomplishments.

Infielder Francisco Thomas is another player that has been moved off the Maryvale roster to Helena's, but both of these moves may be paper moves, as the Maryvale roster needed to be reduced to the maximum of 35.

Remember, Helena's schedule extends past Labor Day, ending next Saturday the 9th, so we'll see.

Via the Sky Sox -- finalizing the playoff-opening roster:

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers have announced that RHP Rob Scahill and RHP Michael Blazek have been reinstated from the temporary inactive list. In addition, OF Johnny Davis, OF Troy Stokes Jr. and RHP Aaron Wilkerson have been transferred from Double-A Biloxi to Colorado Springs.

In a trio of corresponding moves, OF Kirk Nieuwenhuis and LHP Andrew Barbosa have been transferred to Double-A Biloxi and RHP Wuilder Rodriguez has been transferred to Class-A Carolina. Roster at 25.

Wow, pretty cool to see Stokes get the opportunity to play in the playoffs with the Sky Sox. Perhaps he is considered a future building block. He's made a steady climb up the ladder and is only 21 years old. Glad to see Wilkerson get the call, too, even if it is to provide insurance after the Brewers made their call-ups last week.

23-year-old 2015 7th round (University of Miami) 2B/3B George Iskenderian, who was placed on the organization's suspended list back on May 14th and was never re-activated, was moved to the restricted list this week.

Iskenderian started 2017 3-for-35 (three singles, 16 K's) with Biloxi.

RESTRICTED LIST - The Restricted List is used for many reasons. A team can request that a player be placed on the restricted list if that player has left the team without a valid reason, or has announced his intention to retire but is still of an age or level of skill that could allow him to return to professional baseball in the future. In effect, the team states that it retains rights to the player if and when he becomes active again.

A player on the restricted list cannot be signed by another team unless compensation is paid to the team who placed him on the list. The list is honored throughout organized baseball and in leagues that have working agreements to respect the contracts of organized baseball, such as Nippon Pro Baseball. The list is most often used today when a player retires at a young age without receiving his unconditional release. If he decides to return to playing, he must do so with his last team, unless a trade or other deal can be worked out.

Increasing to 19 the number of international prospects signed to 2018 contracts (nearly all of whom will likely debut in the Dominican Summer League next June), the latest two Brewers signings are Venezuelans --

OF Oswal Leones, turns 17 on Friday 10/6, bats L, throws R - here he is as a 13-year-old receiving a mini HR derby trophy from Omar Vizquel (TWEET)

RHP Kleiber Bordones, turns 17 on 10/12, here's a 2016 photo of the youngster.
