Opening day jitters for Broxton.

He doesn't belong batting 6th whatsoever. He was doing well at the top in spring training and for whatever reason Craig moved him down and he starts struggling.

Where you bat shouldn't do anything to you. If he's that weak mentally he won't make it anyways.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Maybe it shouldn't, but it does, and many hitters who did make it have attested to that.

What strings do we have to pull around here to get our game thread in the major league forum where it belongs? We might be winning this game if we had our stuff together today.

I would of rather us sign Randy Wolf again. This is painful to watch. It's ruined opening day.

Why? Then you have all the game threads overcrowding the MLB forum (and most games there is not much conversation going on in them - it only on page 3 for opening day in the 4th inning.) How hard is it to just click on the in-game thread forum.

Typically they sit it atop the MLB forum. Not with everything else.

Former Brewer watch: Adam Lind with a curtain call in Washington after a pinch-hit 2-run HR puts the Nationals up 3-2 in the 7th.

(With Reynolds also on the board, that's 2 of the past 3 first basemen going deep already. Somehow Carter was held to a sac fly in his only PA yesterday.)

MLB has to talk to Joe West. He is ridiculous. If they establish what the zone is, he can't just ignore it and call the zone however he wants.

He's been doing it his whole career among others. Its to the point, just hand it to the machines. The technology is there, and you get an actual consistent strike zone every time.

At some point I expect MLB will implement tennis-style ball/strike challenges. Keeps the human element of the game but allows for obvious misses to be corrected in < 20 seconds.

That would be a good compromise, but in the interests of it not being overused I would guess it would only be allowed on 3rd strikes.

There would be a limited number of challenges available...I think they could find a way to make it work.

Meanwhile...4-4, wow!

Wow. Quick turn around in this one. That was fun to watch!
