smackdown womens belt - if aska appears she wins, if not i'll take naomi

raw tag team - enzo / cass

intercontinental - corbin

shane vs AJ - AJ wins

mixed tag team - cena / nikki wins

KO vs Y2K - KO

raw womens - bayley

taker - roman - taker

seth vs triple h - seth with interference by Samoa Joe and finn.

orton vs wyatt - orton

goldberg vs lesnar - lesnar (lock of the night)

Anybody else not really feeling it this year? The match card has a few decent matches, but nothing I'm overly excited about. Doesn't help that a few of them seem highly predictable.

Also the fact that it's going to be 5-6 hours when it's all said and done doesn't help anything.

there are 3 matches that i am looking forward to, other than that , meh. but the matches that the story line were long dragged out on like jericho vs owens should be good

last year it wasn't over until about 11, with the pre-show thats 7 hours.

I haven't even been watching...the only thing interesting really is Enzo/Cass. I'll just get even madder if I watch and they shove more Roman Reigns down our throats with a victory over Taker.

Taker Vs Reigns was, in my opinion, a terrible match. Hopefully Taker is officially done. He was incredible for so long, but he just can't take the bumps anymore. I was pretty disappointed in all of WM33, Hardys were good. Nothing else really stood out.

I don't think the WWE will ever learn, Smackdown has been been the better show since the brand split, but they dumped a bunch of their key stars because they view smackdown as an "incubator" for Raw.

i only can hope some good talent goes back to Smackdown which will keep the storylines fresh on both shows instead of treating Smackdown as a AAA show, and NXT as AA.

I don't really watch much anymore and I don't know if it still goes on, but I'd just like to chime in that whoever started the whole get the crowd to chant 'WHAT!' every time someone finishes a sentence in an interview is pretty much the worst person ever.

that hasn't been going on for a while, it sort of died when Stone Cold stopped wrestling.

Its alarming that they would say that. Especially considering Smackdown has been by far the better show the last year. They'll get some back - Charlotte, Owens, New Day, probably a few others. Hopefully they at least make it close to even again.

its helps that they brought up Nakamura and Dillenger to smackdown, but it appears that they will be on Raw for the new shuffle if this article is true. I enjoy Smackdown, with it being 2 hours only, there was less time wasting and the story lines were better anyway.

For me, the time is really becoming the problem. With just the normal Raw, SD and NXT shows, we're talking 7 hours a week - that doesn't include the PPV every 2-3 weeks and the NXT PPV's. Asking a fan to devote that much time is a bit much. I find myself recording the shows, the fast forwarding through most of it. And also then watching a PPV in the background or something while I do other things. I like wrestling, always have, but it's just becoming a lot - especially now that baseball season is here and I have a Brewers game to watch most nights.

The WCW/WWE wars were coming to a conclusion when I was in college (I still remember the Monday Night "simulcast" between the two shows where Shane McMahon stormed into the WCW ring and announced HE was the McMahon that had actually bought the WCW).

My boys are at about the age when I was when I first started watching (5 & 6) and decided to tune into Smackdown after not really watching for a number of years. I don't think there was actually a wrestling match for the first 45-50 minutes of the show. Just ring confrontations, really stupid sketches based on a really stupid reality TV show, etc. Needless to say, my boys had zero interest in watching it because there was no actual action.

Where is the actual wrestling?

NXT / 205 live are the only shows that focuses on wrestling, but the talent isn't the same as raw / smackdown obviously. if you thought smackdown was full of filler you better not turn on monday night raw

It's not usually quite as bad as it was last night. This week they swapped a bunch of superstars from one show to the next, so a lot of it was introducing them and making a big deal about it. I wouldn't say it's ever chalked full of wrestling, but it's generally quite a bit more than you saw yesterday.

Braun tipping over the ambulance the other night was the first semblance of anything interesting in some time. Admittedly I am not watching alot since probably last fall but I don't find it interesting to sit and watch people talk for 2 hours, one DQ match, and maybe 2 matches.

Really the Divas were the only thing interesting to me, they actually had a storyline awhile back. Hearing YOU JUST MADE THE LIST! every week is weak.

  • 1 month later...

nice, anyone else see backlash last night? I was shocked that they put the belt on Jinder Mahal. I am going to assume that orton will win the belt back in short order once he has his rematch. Other than that the show was pretty meh besides KO vs AJ which was by far the match of the night.

Takeover was much better, really enjoyed the Roode match as well as DIY vs AOP. Even though smackdown is way better than RAW somehow it still pails in comparison to NXT, even though they pretty much raided that promotion during the superstar shackup.

The Mahal thing is 100% purely a business decision as they are expanding into India and that area of the world. That said, they did a TERRIBLE job of getting to this point. Mahal has essentially been a jobber/lower card guy essentially his entire career. There was no progression, no real story of any kind. He just went from a jobber to WWE champion in the span of a couple of months.

I assume he loses it at the next PPV, I certainly hope so. It's hard to have any interest when they do things like this.

I know exactly what you are saying. It's nice to see a new guy as champion and main eventing. But when this guy couldn't go 5 to 10 minutes on RAW a month earlier. Should of had him win a few matches before the battle royal and gone from there. I'm expecting him to retain against Orton in there rematch probably at Money In The Bank just to lose it to whoever wins the briefcase at Mitb.

I am actually looking forward to see what they do with Mijal. Orton with the belt did nobody any good. I agree Mijal probably loses it to Styles or somebody else after MITB but he might surprise. He certainly looks much bigger which in a way makes it more believable he is heavyweight champ.

my biggest issue with Jinder Mahal is that the Singh brothers cannot be taken seriously as goons for Jinder. did you see how orton threw one of them like a rag doll on the PPV and any NXT fan saw them as the Bollywood boys. I agree that he has had a dramatic body change, which is why Im sure why he is getting a massive push from Vince besides the reason that the WWE network has recently been added to India. I agree that he will drop the belt by atleast the next smackdown ppv.
