1 game out and the offense is just coming out of a pretty long funk. Bodes well if a few guys at a time can stay hot the rest of the way.

Eloy Jimenez will not be wearing a Cubs uniform to torment Brewers fans whenever he starts his MLB career, possibly as soon as next year - since headlining the trade that sent Quintana to the Cubs, Jimenez has continued putting up video game #'s in A+ ball as a 20-yr old and was recently promoted to AA Birmingham. He promptly homered and doubled in his first game there.

 

So, yay for missing out on trading for an above-average rotation arm and watching the Cubs send off a prospect with perennial all star talent.

We are going to pick up a half game in the WC department. Braves batting around in the 7th. I hope the wheels fall off in Colorado too.

 

And Arrenado just got smoked in the hand and being taken off by the trainer. Good time for him to take some time off.
