I am happy that we made this far in first place

Don't take this the wrong way but this is a perfect statement from a Brewers fan.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

How do the Cubs have an off day while we continue to play? The schedule makes no sense.

The Cubs don't have to get on a plane until August 7th, kind of a weird quirk of the schedule. That is also the date where we will really know how things look. They will have played us as well as the Diamondbacks and Nationals in that stretch. If they play well over that time frame it isn't looking good for the Brewers.

How do the Brewers have an off day on Monday while the Cubs continue to play? Sad!

The point being was that the Cubs have played three less games.

Every team is going to play 162 in the same time frame so complaining about when a team gets an off day is incredibly weird.

For the most part a computer makes the schedule.

Of course the schedule isn't equal. Would you rather be Seattle and have to use off days to fly hours and hours across the country because you're in a corner? Would you rather be Texas or Houston being fairly acclimated to the Central time zone but having to play a ton of West Coast games every year?

Complaining about the schedule right now is seriously one of the weirdest things I've ever seen considering we just had the all-star break and we have an off day three days after the Cubs do.

Welp! Cubs have now caught us in the loss column. I mean I think we all knew this was coming but it's still a gut punch that it happened so quick after the ASB. Was hoping to enjoy the ride a little longer.

This is the worst possible thread to post that in.

Complaining about me mentioning how silly it is that we'll have played four more games come tomorrow is even weirder. Lol, seriously, it wasn't even that big of a deal just more of something that was noticed. You can go back to your day job now...

Where else would be better? I started a thread about the NL Central Race and someone criticized me for that as well.

What if I don't have much OPTIMISM?

Don't post in the thread then? lol this isn't a hard concept man.

Every great winning streak, (other than to start the season) starts after a loss! Tomorrow with Jimmy on the hill, is the start of a four game winning streak! Get the division lead back up to 5+ games and then sweep the Cubs next weekend to put them away for good!

One hot streak shouldn't overshadow how mediocre the Cubs have been all year. Just as an unlucky losing streak shouldn't overshadow how good the Brewers have been.

Cubs haven't been hitting all year and Quintana won't fix that. Sure they will be tougher to hit against because of him, but that still wont make up for their other issues.

I'm all for the Gray trade. It's not like he would be a rental. There is both short-term and long-term value to him.

literally post in any other thread on this forum. there is enough negativity and pessimism everywhere else, keep it out of this thread.

If the Brewers don't win the division I should be banned. However, they will.
