Not much offense during the action I saw but Gabriel Garcia had a rocket to center for a triple and Chad McClanahan had a nice oppo single.

McClanahan and Gilbert Lara put together back-to-back web gems in the field and Karsen Lindell looked impressive on the mound.

Don't read too much into the lack of offense however as the young Brewers were going up against Tyler Skaggs who started the game for LA.

Haudricourt -- "C prospect Jacob Nottingham has recovered from biceps issue. Will DH today in intrasquad game and catch tomorrow in minors game."

Rosiak - "Also, farm director Tom Flanagan noted outfielder Monte Harrison could return as soon as Wednesday or Thursday after missing a little more than two weeks with an oblique strain."

With Nottingham, Ray and Harrison in the lineup today, by my count that just leaves Tyrone Taylor among position players and a handful of pitchers (Salas, Grist, Owenby, Pennington, Fox, Chase Williams, along with the known TJ guys) among players who haven't shown up on the minor league lineups yet.

Woodruff dominating batters

Ponce appears to be healthy & back on track

Man, Carolina fans are in for a treat this season! Gatewood is on almost every summary crushing the ball.... hope that continues. Diaz is a beast. Clark is healthy & Ray is getting there.

Kirby with another solid outing!

I know it is just spring but feels so good to be excited about our system again! When I first joined the site in high school, no clue what my name was even back then, was for the draft debating Young vs Weeks for #2. That started the prime of the system & it feels those days are back!

Proud member since 2003 (geez ha I was 14 then)

FORMERLY BrewCrewWS2008 and YoungGeezy don't even remember other names used

Depending on when this happened, I wonder if this is related to Michael Reed getting sent to AA. They could have figured that it's better to get one of the AAA guys more at-bats until Taylor's healthy rather than promoting someone who might not be ready for AA just to have a warm body there to go with Coulter, Roache and Davis. While they have an overabundance of pitchers and a smaller surplus of infielders, their outfield talent in the upper minors is definitely more quality than quantity at this point.
