Chris' timeline today included this:

"Devin Williams just exited the Brewers intrasquad with some sort of an issue eight pitches in"

One interesting part was when he said that the early camp was primarily for guys being looked at as starters. That could mean the Brewers' minor league rotations will end up being something like:

AAA: Hader, Woodruff, Wang (pick two of Burgos, Barbosa, Espino, Wilkerson)

AA: Ortiz, Lopez, Perrin, Salas and Olczak(?!)

A+: Diplan, Ponce, Meideiros, Peralta, Harber

A: Z. Brown, Burnes, Webb, Supak, Yamamoto, Jankins, Kirby, Drossner, Walters(!)

The most surprising name that's missing from that list in my opinion is Josh Pennington, although I guess it would be easier to stretch out a piggyback starter later, so maybe that doesn't mean anything.

Diaz in first game cranks double off wall. 2nd game he blasts a solo HR!

These young guys are sure impressing!

I know its just spring training, but its pretty great to see guys who were in A ball last year raking. Erceg might end up in AA yet.

Frosty Microbrews: Let the Games Begin

By Kyle Lobner / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Minor league games, that is...

"On the minor league side, (Matt) Erickson and the rest of the coaching staffs have a lot of players to manage. There are 207 position players and pitchers attending minor league camp this year, which he said is the most he's ever seen. Of those, over 170 reported to camp early."

#Brewers #5 prospect Phil Bickford having a tough time in today. Slipped on his first 2 pitches. Now throwing midway up the backstop #Yips?

Looked like he took too long of a stride slipped. Trainers looked at him and he stayed in. Threw the next 4 pitches high. 2 hit the backstop

Not sure it's much of a surprise since he played at that level last year but just got back from Spring Training and overheard one coach talking to Corey Ray about how he's gonna start at A+ Carolina this year.

@BrewersPD stopped providing full boxes a few years ago, learned that the full small spring sample wasn't a worthwhile publish. However, the Brewers do provide highlights --

Sacramento def Col Springs 8-3. Javier Betancourt & Garrett Cooper had two hits each; Cooper 2 RBI. Johnny Davis chipped in a triple

Richmond downed Biloxi, 13-6. Dustin Demuth, Blake Allemand & Brandon Diaz all had 2 hits. Jon Olczak tossed two scoreless IP in relief.

San Jose clipped Carolina 10-6. Trent Clark had three hits including a HR. Isan Diaz added three hits, including 2 doubles. Thomas Jankins 3 IP, 1 ER, 3 SO

*Clark and Diaz were rewarded with action in Saturday's Cubs-Brewers game.

Wisconsin edged Augusta, 2-1. Jonathan Oquendo had two hits, including a double. Cam Roegner, Miguel Sanchez, Santos Saldivar & Gentry Fortuno all had scoreless appearances.

So here's what you do --

Print out the full roster, make a notation next to a player's name each time they are listed.

You'll get a clue if a position player is sidelined or not, or how many game opportunities they had should the numbers crunch cause a release in the next two weeks.

Here's Saturday's rosters:
