If you have $2,000 you can get a SRO ticket for game 3 at Wrigley on StubHub. If you want to actually have reserved seat, then it's another $750 for a seat way in the upper corner of the stadium. What's that? You want front row? Lowest price listed is $14K each and then it jumps to $20K each (both listed as "best value" tickets on StubHub). If it goes to game 7 (or if the Cubs have a chance to clinch in game 6), I can see half of Progressive Field being Cubs fans (as a many Cleveland fans may have a hard time turning down the outrageous prices they can get for their tix).

For game 1 of the NLCS the husband of one of one wife's co-workers bought 2 tickets at over $400 a piece. He also (for no reason other than being an idiot I guess) bought some Cubs gear online and had it overnighted. The sweatshirt he bought for her didn't even fit so they had to buy another on the way there. They already had a hotel booked for that night for a wedding they were going to which was too late to refund and also no where near Chicago. So they then needed to book a hotel in Chicago. Also they had to drop their kids off at the grandparents 2 hours away and not at all on the way to the game. All totaled they (he) spent over $1,500 for game 1. He did all this without checking with his wife and didn't tell her until the night before. Wife doesn't care about baseball at all. She also put her foot down and said no when he asked if they could go to a World Series game.

I went to the 2001 United States (and Toronto) Series between the Diamondbacks and Yankees and I paid face value $60/ea for game 1 tickets in the 2nd row from the top of then,Bank One Ballpark. Bought a ticket off a broker for game number 7 for $180,3rd base side lower level.

The Cubs appear on the verge of activating Kyle Schwarber to play DH in the World Series. I'm very surprised, as he hasn't faced major league pitching in months, and it means the Cubs will have to deactivate someone who was part of the NLCS team, and presumably, much more of the 2016 season.

If he takes an 0-for-the-WS and the Cubs lose, that could be something that drives Cubs fans crazy.

What has Chris Archer done to qualify him for commentating playoff and world series games? Geez, anyone can get a gig these days...

At least he pitched in both organizations in the World Series, unlike others getting these opportunities...

Archer started with Cleveland. While still in the lower minors he was dealt to the Cubs (Mark DeRosa deal) and then was dealt to Tampa Bay

I kind of thought I'd be rooting for the Cubs, but have found myself rooting for the Indians instead...Old habits die hard I guess. (rooting against the cubs)

I didn't reailze he was on the air this year. It appears that he'll be around on ESPN for games 1 and 2, along with games 5, 6, and 7 if they're played.

I think he qualifies based on positive reviews of his performance in last year's American League wildcard game. He showed himself to be articulate and interesting. And he didn't spew out all the same stuff that other player-commentators do. His hair also qualifies him.

Hopefully, he's allowed to be himself rather than being made to fit into a mold.

So Mr. Lucroy, how's that trade veto working out for you now?

Personally I'm very happy the Indians still have those prospects.....

I know we will never find out for sure, but I am curious which players were altered in the other Brewer deadline trades (ie players from Giants for Smith, what items were on the table for Jeffries ALONE) since the Lucroy deal to Cleveland fell thru...

You think he cares? You think he vetoed because he thought the Rangers were a better chance to win the World Series? No that isn't why he vetoed.

You damn right I think he cares. Who? Simply, who wouldn't want to play in a World Series? You can't tell me he doesn't second guess that decision. Hell, he would cash an extra $400,000 check when the Indians win the WS.

And Yes, the tribe is going to win the WS.
