Corey Ray undergoes knee surgery

The Brewers haven't provided a timetable for Corey's recovery, but BrewCrewBall says that a typical recovery for meniscus surgery is six to eight weeks.

Rosiak added that there's no timetable for his return, though meniscus surgery usually takes something like 6-8 weeks to recover from so unless there's some unforeseen setback, Ray should be ready to go in Spring Training.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Man, I knew we shouldn't have drafted this guy! Get better Corey Ray! We'll see you in spring training.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I believe the bigger impact here is the lost playing /development time this fall and likely this winter. After rehab, would you feel comfortable sending him to winter ball?? I would not.

Yes, better now then later but I think this will torpedo any chance of Corey starting 2017 in AA. Considering his results last year, I would think a return to High A was in order and this seals it..
