I like both Tennessee teams. East Tennessee State over Florida as well. A lot of people like Vermont over Purdue but I don't see it.

It would be awesome for UW to get a crack at Duke in the Regional Final. But there is nothing the Badgers have done recently that makes me think they can go through Va Tech, Villanova, and Virginia/Florida to get there. But that is the greatness of March; who the heck really knows.

I feel like we did this last year, but I haven't seen it this year:

Elite 8:

Duke over Villanova

Notre Dame over Arizona

UCLA over UNC

Kansas over Oregon

Final Four:

Duke over Notre Dame

Kansas over UCLA

National Championship: Kansas Jayhawks 75-69 Duke Blue Devils

Typically I would do a bracket with Kansas losing and provide that, but this year I am going to just go with the "bias" bracket. Not sure why because I really don't like this Kansas team going into the tourney...actually I hate it a lot. Overall I didn't put a lot of thought into my bracket so I won't be too sad when it is ruined.

This was my 1st bracket and only one thus far. Will do a little study and more brackets tonight

Duke over Nova

Kansas over Oregon

Arizona over Notre Dame

UCLA over UNC

Arizona over Duke

Kansas over UCLA

Arizona over Kansas 80-70

Had Wichita St, Mid Tennessee, and Michigan as the Sweet 16 upsets.

Wisconsins performance and low seed put a damper on this years tourny for me. I just quickly threw something together and have nova beating i think ucla.

Elite 8

Iowa St / Oregon

N Carolina / UCLA

Gonzaga / Arizona

Wisconsin / Duke

Final Four

Duke / Gonzaga

Oregon / N Carolina

Final

N Carolina wins over Gonzaga

Big upsets - FGCU / Xavier / USC / Wichita St / Rhode Island / UNC-Wilmington

I'm going out on a limb and hoping UW can beat VA Tech and scrape by Nova (Butler handled them twice by slowing the pace way down), then get UNC-Wilmington or a meh Florida in the sweet 16. I give it a 30/70 chance of happening, but we'll see.

The other "upset" I think will be Minnesota beating the 98% who are picking E Tenn St. For as ballyhoo as they get for beating MSU last year on the best game of their lives they got ran off the floor the next game. Could be wrong, but its good R/R in a bracket scenario because E Tenn St won't go far anyway.

Trying to decide what will end the Badgers season tonight (if at all).

-Missing too many free throws

-Not defending the three point shot well enough

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Tom Crean was fired today. I think the obvious choice is Alford, but I don't think he is that great of a coach and UCLA to Indiana isn't an upgrade. I wonder if they will look again to the big east and grab Mack or Holtmann?

Well the madness almost started with Notre Dame, the best free throw shooting team, blowing it. Up by just 1 point and with 12 seconds they missed a free throw and Princeton had a shot. Princeton, down by 1, went for a three and missed it. Interesting end to say the least.

Tip of the cap to Nigel and Koenig tonight. Nigel was so good, even from the line. Koenig just lit the nets in fire! The officiating was terrible and really kept VTech in that one. Happ was pretty average tonight. He needs to step it up against Nova. Man I hope they win and people tear the committee a new one! On Wisconsin!

I think UW matches up pretty well with Nova. I'm expecting a good game.

Happ was in foul trouble 18 seconds into the game. If he can't play physical, he's limited. Plus, Hayes took his role last night. Probably the most enjoyable Badger game I've watched this year. Koenig was just unconscious...

Oh Minnesota. Thanks for playing lol

Shows the awful job the committee did too. MTS is not an awful team but the gophers had no business on the 5 line.

Committee probably put them there to get upset.

I thought that as well. I was just happy that the people who called Badger fans whiners because of the Gophers getting a higher seed can now go kick rocks.

Nigel Hayes made 8FTs in a row after missing front end of 1&1 in 1st half. Koenig's 3pt shooting.

And WI only won by 10. There is very little to better this Badger Team's game output vs. what you'd hope they'd do. Happ could have supplied some more Offense and that's about it. Even Iverson went 7/10 at FTs for an upper 50% shooter.

The moment Koenig comes back to reality vs how he's been shooting 3pts. They'll be dumped hard. 31 3pt attempts vs 29 2pt FG attempts.

Villanova- 17 3pt tries, 43 2pt tries.

That concern is a continuation from the Michigan game. Well the stats don't compare, but watching both games, having the shot clock run down, expiring in the Michigan game. This game they got them off and Koenig made a few.

I'm just watching the game late in the 2nd half and must have been 3 possessions in a row the ball never spent one dribble past the 3pt line until there were 7secs or less on the shot clock. They were passing, but just around the outside of the 3pt line. Happ is working hard and it was like, There! pass him the ball! whoops 2 secs go by and he's covered.

To get pretty close to peak performance from Hayes, Koenig, and Iverson where they made 7 straight FTs and yet up only 1 pt with 6:30 to go. 2 more makes by Hayes to make a 72-71 game a 3pt lead.

I'm just saying, that all happened while it was a 1 possession game. 9 made FTs vs a typical 4-5 misses by those two. Koenig's last made 3 was with 5:21 to go and he missed his last 4 attempts.

Sorry, I just know this game is a big confidence booster to WI fans, but I know it will be a big fall coming up.

Guess what Im saying is this is the type of performance you'd hope vs. Villanova to win, and it was likely used up to beat a 9 seed
