Over the past 2 years, our partnership with the Milwaukee Brewers has been a tremendous success and a source of great pride for the Colorado Springs community. Security Service Field has been the launching pad for numerous Major League baseball players including Zach Davies, Orlando Arcia, Domingo Santana and many more and we look forward to continuing that tradition.

"Launching pad" can definitely be taken more than one way.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

David Stearns in regard to pitching in Colorado Springs, from the McCalvy Carolina Mudcats article

Our pitching development philosophy, in terms of how we go level to level, needs some discussion. I don't know that it's going to change, but we need to address it. …

When I got here, I was adamant that I didn't want to skip levels. That was my decision, and I thought it was important to have pitchers touch that level. I think in some respects I underestimated the challenges that pitchers have in that environment, so it's been a good learning experience for me. We'll figure out the best way to adjust heading into next year.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
