No, he had never played in the outfield in the Majors until this season. He has an inning here and there in left field in the minors and foreign leagues, adding up to under 10 innings.

 

This season, Hernán has started at six different positions and has played seven. He's played every infield and outfield spot, and left field is the only position he's played where he doesn't have a start.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
