Alberto Paulino and Moises Perez are the only two DSL players brought stateside. Paulino's a (much) older than usual DSL player at 25, so he makes sense to get a longer look at. Perez showed some nice pop and plate awareness this summer in his first season. Perez just turned 18, so with a decent fall and spring he's a good bet to stick around in Maryvale next summer.

Preston Gainey is the only player above advanced A-ball on the roster. He needs work after missing much of the season with a back injury.

Kudos to BA for putting this together. It used to be almost impossible to find out who all were in fall instructs.

I'm curious as well. I thought it was a lot of situational play, and things like that. Are there traditional games?

This does a pretty good job summing it up.

Erceg is playing short?

Chris Kusiolek on Gilbert Lara

Lara is low energy, low acumen, sluggish hands, heavy footed, slow twitch, questionable projection.

Chris' byline:

Baseball evaluator. Busting my ass to continue towards the ultimate goal. Videos from backfields, Cal League, PCL and wherever else there's talent to be seen. Palo Alto, CA

He does document quite a bit via Vine, but you're right, DHonks, not an affiliated scout.

Very first question for Eric Longenhagen in today's Fangraphs prospect chat:

Billy: Have you gotten a chance to see Corey Ray yet this fall? What are your opinions on him?

Eric A Longenhagen: I assume you mean the Brewers Corey Ray and not the Royals (who I saw throw a bullpen yesterday, he looked good). Haven’t seen CF Ray but heard he was on crutches this week so I’m looking into that.

Crutches?! Anyone heard anything about this?

Josh Norris ‏@jnorris427 1h1 hour ago

Wendell Rijo homers on a line to LCF on a hanging changeup from Erik Manoah. #Brewers #Angels #Instructs

Josh Norris ‏@jnorris427 46m46 minutes ago

Trent Clark got a changeup he could handle and pulverized out to RCF. Lucas Erceg followed with a double inside the 1B line. #Brewers

Bill Mitchell ‏@billazbbphotog 1h1 hour ago Phoenix, AZ

Wendell Rijo just hit an absolute bomb over LF for #Brewers instructs team.

Bill Mitchell ‏@billazbbphotog 1h1 hour ago Phoenix, AZ

3 of my Pioneer League top 10 prospects on the field for #Angels - #Brewers instructs game - J. Jones, Erceg, Lara. @BaseballAmerica

Eric Longenhagen ‏@longenhagen 7m7 minutes ago

Lucas Erceg is having a hell of a day. Torching pretty much everything he sees and just made a diving stop and uncorked a rocket to 1B.

Eric Longenhagen ‏@longenhagen 2h2 hours ago

Brewers righty Taylor Williams 95-98, thought I saw a 99 on one gun.

Eric Longenhagen ‏@longenhagen 37s37 seconds ago

Aaaand Monte Harrison just went deep.

Josh Norris ‏@jnorris427 19s20 seconds ago

Now Monte Harrison goes all Adrian Beltre and hits a home run basically from one knee. Effortless power. #Brewers
