Jungmann, Magnifico, Susac recalled

I am slightly surprised to see Jungmann back, though he seemed to be more good than bad lately in Biloxi.

 

No word on any 40-man additions just yet.

 

Cecchini, Reed, Wilkins, and Goforth all finished in AAA and are still on the 40-man, but were not recalled at this time. Probably bad omens for some of them.

Jungmann was previously a member of the Brewers’ roster this season before pitching poorly and ending up all the way down in Double A Biloxi. He went 3-4 with a 2.51 ERA in 13 starts with Biloxi.

 

Magnifico was 6-7 with a 4.06 ERA in 62 innings pitched in Triple A Colorado Springs. He was also 18 for 21 in save opportunities with the Sky Sox. This will be Magnifico’s second stint in the Brewers’ bullpen this season as he was up earlier this season for two games.

 

Susac was acquired in the trade that sent Will Smith to the San Francisco Giants and was assigned to Triple A Colorado Springs. This season between his two teams, Susac has batted .254/.320/.408 with eight home runs and 41 RBI.

No point in recalling or bringing up position players as there's nowhere for them to get action. Susac gets a nod because it never hurts to have another catcher and he has MLB experience. He'll most likely be the starting catcher next year as well otherwise in a platoon so he makes sense for several reasons.
