Middlebrooks outrighted to AAA

INF Will Middlebrooks has been returned from rehab at Double-A @BiloxiShuckers, reinstated from 15-day DL & outrighted to Triple-A @skysox.

I believe Middlebrooks has enough minor league service time that he'll be a FA at the end of the season.

middlebrooks didn't play in either game of yesterday's doubleheader for biloxi . . . which i found to be odd. now it makes sense.

Begs the question who takes the open roster spot? Plenty of candidates.

My first guess would be a LHP - Hader or Wang have to be added, only one lefty in the pen.

 

If they can't find PT for Santana and Broxton, how would they find it for Brinson? Let him rest his hammy anyway.

 

Maybe we are getting an early Christmas present in the naming of the PTBNL...

They could find a lot more PT for people if they stopped wasting it on Kirk Nieuwenhuis....

we now know that the brewers were very close to acquiring two 40-man roster players from the dodgers for ryan braun.

 

one has to wonder if middlebrooks (he with an 'r' in his last name) was outrighted to make room for one of the dodger players. two weeks have passed, and that roster spot is still unclaimed. it seems logical that the cut of middlebrooks was for the trade that didn't happen.
