That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Yep, Santana is now getting the Broxton treatment earlier. Clearly in a platoon with Nieuwenhuis. Trade him for a dollar so Counsell can't play him anymore.

I really want to see Nieuwenhuis off the team for that very reason. For the state where this club is at, he plays way, way too much.

Other than for the occasional rest day, there is absolutely no reason for Broxton and Santana not to play every game the rest of the season. None.

Loving this 4 game winning streak Kirk has propelled this team to!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Because he's been red hot, hitting .182 with 2 singles in the 4 games, I guess.

Last 14 days, OPS'ing .796

At home this year, .952

Wonder why Counsell wants to play him....

Good God man, just let it go already and let people have their opinion. You're essentially the only one who feels otherwise, yet you continue to state your opinion like it's fact. Let it go. If this season was about putting the best possible lineup out every day and winning the most games, people would understand the decisions based on the home/road splits. It's not.

Lol you're the one trying to state your opinion as its fact. All I did was actually provide facts as to why he is most likely in the lineup. Check your last two sentences. I'd be willing to bet Counsell doesn't care if your panties are in a bunch over the lineup choices but he's trying to win games. It is what it is. This is just too good.

Says bickering on here is bad.

Continues to bicker.

A 14 day stretch being as arbitrary as that is, I'd be willing to bet Counsell doesn't care about anyone's opinions on his lineups.

We were all aware of the splits before tonight. No one formed their opinion of the OF playing time unaware that Kirks are heavily home-favored this year. And no one who favors less for Kirk bases it whatsoever on winning the most possible games this year.

Then Arcia should be benched if random meaningless wins are more important than playing young guys with possible futures

Why are Pina's fingernails painted orange?

The signs can be difficult for the pitchers to see sometimes during night games. I remember we always had our catchers paint their fingernails white to make it easier for the pitchers.

Can we get something going already? Chad Kuhl is not a future MLB ace, but we're making him look like one.

Kirk agrees.

Trade him! :)

I know you probably couldn't wait to get on to post that, but the bench Niewenhuis crowd has never called for it based on his 2016 productivity. His OPS and defense are respectable for a centerfielder. The reasons havenothing to do with current production.

To be honest, I'm surprised someone hasn't nabbed him. Plenty of contenders have worse on their roster.

I agree with you here. He's versatile, has some pop, and can play passable defense. He's not going to be a significant scale tipper for anyone, but he'd be a pretty good 4th OFer for a contender.

It's possible he was claimed by a team without a use for him to block a contender.
