That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I heart Zach Davies
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Following on gameday and this ump is doing the Brewers a ton of favors. Two clear strikes have been called balls for Brewers hitters and several of Davies' pitches have been off the corner and at the shins that have been called strikes for Davies.

Nothing ruins a game like garbage umpires and the home plate umpire today has been garbage.

Is GameDay an accurate representation of the strike zone? I'm not watching, but I've wondered before if GameDay is supposed to accurately portray the strike zone like they show on FSN, or if it's just subjective.

It's the most accurate system there is. They use the Pitch f/x cameras. I'd trust it a hell of a lot more than whatever the hell FSN uses.

This is turning into a fun team to watch. They get any kind of decent starting pitching and they can drive the opponent nuts. Sunday's 9th inning has energized this group.

But they're on pace to strikeout the most in history. How could this be? Just ribbin ya.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Ryan Braun is still really good at baseball. Fun to watch!
