So if they reviewed that 3rd out the runner has to be safe right? It made absolutely no difference on the play but Pina was straddling home plate without the ball for a long time. It's stupid but he would have to be safe wouldn't he?

 

Maybe it wasn't technically a "play at the plate", merely an out on the 3 base line.

Arica isn't showing his great defense again.

Yeah, Suter is going to have a really hard time getting major league hitters out. When you top out at 86 and don't have amazing control and command, you're going to get hit.

 

He had a rough spot early this season in Colorado Springs where he was very hittable, then was lights out from about May 3 on. And he has flashed that control/command over the last two years.

 

Not the best debut, but there have been worse debuts.

The reporters are asking Counsell the wrong questions. I want to know what the deal was with the umpires preventing Villar and Anderson from talking. Then again, if FSWI didn't cut off the news conference before it ended, maybe we would have heard one of them ask about it.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
