Interesting, also added Tyler Cravy as the 26th man today. Somebody will have to be removed from the 25 man after today's games but doesn't have to be Cravy.

Blazek sure has been lousy since he returned from the DL. On at least some level it's encouraging that he's injured and not just terrible.

It sure took them long enough to realize that he's either bad or injured or both. He's been awful since May and Counsell kept running him out there in close games like nothing was wrong.

? they DO have the open roster spot for today. wouldn't you want to have an extra long man just incase, if mlb rules allow you to.

Assuming Anderson's okay, he'll be available on the 20th. Guerra's eligible to be off the DL by then too.

I read that Guerra probably won't be ready until late August or September.

I don't think they would pitch Anderson on 4 days rest. They need to call up somebody on the 20th, make it a bullpen game or have somebody make a spot start on the 19th and have Peralta pitch on the 20th.

I think Briggs point it that Anderson only threw 11 pitches, so he wouldn't really be pitching on short rest.

Andy Wilkins has been optioned back to AAA, which brings the roster back down to 25 and leaves the number of pitchers at 13 again.
